Zara Rahman

Zara Rahman is a British-Bangladeshi author and researcher focused on the intersection of power, technology, and justice. Her book, Machine Readable Me: The Hidden Ways Tech Shapes Our Identities (404 Ink, 2023), draws on over a decade of research into how data shapes our lives. She has held fellowships at Stanford and Harvard, and is currently a Visiting Research Collaborator at Cornell. Zara serves on the boards of Saheli and A People’s Guide to Tech. Previously, she was on the Executive Leadership team at The Engine Room and also acted as a freelance consultant on technology and social justice.
